Summary
SIM card connectors may look small, but the manufacturing behind them is a complete engineering system.

Introduction
SIM card connectors may look small, but the manufacturing behind them is a complete engineering system. At Moarconn, we combine precision tooling, high-accuracy stamping, automated assembly, and strict quality control to ensure every connector meets telecom-grade reliability.
Tooling & Mold Development
Production starts with designing stamping molds and injection molds. The accuracy of these tools directly determines connector performance—especially card alignment, contact force, insertion smoothness, and lifespan.
High-Precision Stamping
Contacts are stamped from copper alloy strips using high-speed progressive stamping machines. Moarconn maintains dimensional tolerances within microns to ensure stable signal transmission and consistent insertion force.
Surface Plating
To enhance conductivity and prevent corrosion, contacts go through selective plating (gold, gold-flash, tin, or palladium-nickel). The plating thickness is monitored in real time to guarantee connector durability over thousands of insertion cycles.
Injection Molding
Housing parts are molded with high-temperature engineering plastics such as LCP or PA9T. Low warpage and high dimensional stability ensure the SIM card fits securely without jamming.
Automated Assembly
Moarconn’s in-house automated assembly equipment positions contacts, inserts springs, locks housings, and conducts real-time optical inspection. Automation improves consistency and reduces manual defects.
Functional Testing
Before packaging, every connector undergoes mechanical and electrical testing:
Insertion/withdrawal force
Contact resistance
Card detection switch testing
Durability test up to 10,000+ cycles
Final QC & Packaging
Qualified parts are packed in tape & reel, tray, or customized packaging options to support SMT assembly or hand-mount applications.
